Evelyn Nellie Jones, 88, of Dallas, Texas passed away on November 14, 2019. She was born on March 12, 1931 to Jesse V. Skinner and Alma Dickson Skinner in Rusk, Texas. Evelyn married Marvin Clyde Jones on September 18, 1948 in Rockwall, Texas. She was an accomplished hair stylist and homemaker.Evelyn is preceded in death by her husband, Marvin Clyde Jones; son, Daniel Ernest Jones; and daughter, Cheryl Lynn Hamilton-Pierce. She is survived by her daughter, Rena Jones Tackett and husband Shannon Tackett of McKinney, Texas; son, Marvin Carl Jones of Mabank, Texas; son in law, Dennis Pierce of Dallas, Texas; sister Jessie Kruger and husband Bill Kruger of Waco, Texas; five grandchildren; and 1 great grandchild.A Celebration of Life for Evelyn Nellie Jones will be held on Saturday, December 7, 2019 at 2:30 pm in the Memorial Chapel at Restland Funeral Home, located at 13005 Greenville Ave. Dallas, Texas, 75243.Funeral arrangements and services have been faithfully entrusted to Restland Funeral Home, Cemetery and Crematory.
