Evelyn Cronkhite Wright's Obituary
Evelyn Cronkhite Wright, returned to her heavenly Father on Mother’s Day, May 12, 2024 in Tyler, TX.
Born July 15, 1938, in Dallas, TX, the Lone Star State was woven into every aspect of Evelyn’s life. In her eyes, there was no other place to entertain living, and she was a Texan through and through.
After graduating from South Oak Cliff High School in Dallas in 1956, Evelyn went to work for Braniff Airways, and ultimately made her way to American Airlines, where she pridefully retired after a long, successful tenure.
Evelyn deeply loved her friends and family. As part of her gregarious nature, her passions included dancing, connecting with longtime friends, and being anywhere her family was. She also loved traveling the globe and experiencing new cultures.
Embracing her at the gates of Heaven were her son, Steven Wright, and her adoring parents.
Evelyn is survived by her children Lynda Wright Hines (Steve) and Scott Wright (Renee). She was “Mimi” to her grandchildren Kristopher Eschman (Kellen), Kaitlyn Eschman Brinker (T.J.), Danielle Piepmeyer Thum (Cory), Steven Piepmeyer, Kyle, Kasey, + Matthew Wright, as well as her great-grandchildren Ellery, Eva, + Eden Brinker, and Jackson Eschman.
She will forever be missed and the day her family sees her again will be glorious.
