Everett Lee Howard's Obituary
Everett Lee Howard, known to many as "Cubby", was born May 26, 1945 to the parentage of Lee Edgar and Edwine Howard. He was the first of seven children born to this union.
He attended Ledbetter Garden and K.B. Polk Elementary schools, Booker T. Washington High School, Brrokhaven and Bishop College.
As a youngster, he often visited his uncle who lived in Texarkana, Texas off Lake Drive. Who knew but an almighty God that frowing up around the conrner from his uncle was a little girl who would grow up and move to Dallas and would one day become his HELP MATE for over forty-five years?
In his early years, Everett accepted Jesus Christ as his personal Saviour and united with Ledbetter Baptist Church, where he remainied serving the Lord as Chairman of the Deacons, Chairman of the Trustees, Sunday School Superintendent, Vacation Bible School Director, Chir member, and member of the Brotherhood. He loved and enjoyed being God's servant, but there are no words to describe how he felt when he had the opportunity to work daily with the builders and contractors on our new sanctuary.
He retired from Raytheon Systems, formerly Texas Instruments, in January 2010 after a career of 42 years.
On October 27, 2021, at UT Southwestern Hospital, the Lord called him home.
Everett loved a multitude of family and friends, and a multitude loved Everett.
He would want everyone to remember that if you met him and forgot who he was, you have lost NOTHING, but if you meet JESUS CHRIST and forget who HE is, you have lost EVERYTHING.
