Everett L. King Jr.'s Obituary
KING, JR., EVERETT L. was born in Greencastle, Indiana. He passed away peacefully in Garland, TX. In 1951 he graduated from Coe College with a BA Degree. He was an International Sales and Marketing Executive at Collins Radio Company, Export Sales Manager at Gates Radio Company, and Vice President of International Marketing at Continental Electronics. On June 1, 1950 he was married to Bonnie, who preceded him in death in 1987. On January 20, 1990 he was married to Shirley. Enlisting at the age of 17, Everett served in the U.S. Navy during the final months of World War II as an instructor at the Fleet Sonar School in Key West, Florida. Everett was involved with The Boy Scouts of America and served in many positions from Cub Master to Scout Master which in 1971 he received the Silver Beaver Award. From 1943 to 1957 he played the bass violin, and tuba in various bands. He is survived by wife, Shirley, and children; Scott, Christopher, Barry, Randolph, Holly, Candace, Tina, Penny, Melanie, Jason,Wayne, Daniel; 23 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. Family will receive friends Monday, March 12, 2007 from 6-8 PM at Restland Funeral Home. Services will be held at 10:00 AM Tuesday, March 13, 2007 at Restland Memorial Chapel. .
