Evy Cassell Obituary Evy Orhwald Cassell, 89, of Keller, Texas was born August 8, 1935 in Copenhagen, Denmark to Egon and Marie Hindsberg joined our heavenly father on October 30, 2024. Evy graduated technical school as au pair and seamstress. She was employed by an American family in Frankfurt Germany where she met Charles “Chuck” Cassell, who was serving in Frankfurt as an embassy guard in the Marine Corps. She married Chuck Cassell on November 1, 1958 in Copenhagen, Denmark. They married and moved eventually to Texas where they raised three boys, Ricky, Brian and David. Evy was a homemaker and worked part-time as a seamstress at a local men’s clothing store when the boys were in school. She loved being the official scorekeeper for her boy’s youth athletic teams that Chuck coached when they were younger. Evy was also active at the Church of the Holy Communion where she was involved in women’s ministries as well as a Bible study. She is proceeded in death by her husband, Chuck Cassell, as well as her youngest son David Cassell. She is survived by her sister, Yvonne Hindsberg and brother Stephan Hindsberg of Copenhagen, Denmark, her son Ricky Cassell and daughter-in-law Melena Cassell of Columbus Georgia, and son Brian Cassell, of Argyle, Texas. Evy loved her grandchildren, Heather Hallmark of Norman, Oklahoma and Chris Cassell of Decatur, Texas and her great grandchildren Savannah and Malachi. Evy was a devoted wife and mother to her boys and friend too many. She will be truly missed. A memorial service will be held on November 15, 2024 at Church of the Holy Communion, 17405 Muirfield Dr., Dallas,Texas 75287. A reception will follow the service. In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be directed to the Church of the Holy Communion, the place that Evy loved and cherished.
