Faison was like a father to me when he was Division Manager in Atlanta. He trusted me to do my job as DSM, a rare quality among management. He was one of the most stylish men anywhere with his carefully Brill-Creamed coif, his pipe, his cravat, his navy Blazer, slacks creased razor sharp, his famous Florsheims. He might have referred to this assemblage as wearing one's Hickey Freeman. His vernacular was uniquely his including phrases such as "wish trick", "jerkweed" and "spinner". This is only a short list, but those who knew him well will recall many others. He was as fine and funny a man as I have met. I wish I had paid him tribute years before he passed on. He will be missed.
