Farris E. Ashe's Obituary
Born May 3, 1927 in Kenton, TN and passed away on January 9, 2008 in Tuscaloosa, AL. Farris served in the Navy and received a BA and Masters in Food Science from the University of Tennessee. He used his degrees to become a quality control technologist in the food industry. He also served his church as Deacon for many years. He is preceded in death by his parents, and brother, Malcolm Ashe. He is survived by his wife, LaRue Ashe; daughters: Kathy Elliott and husband Rob of Gardendale, AL, and Nancy Wooldridge and husband Tim of Allen, TX; 4 grandchildren, David and Kristen Elliott and John and Ashlee Wooldridge; 2 brothers: Walter D. Ashe of Bristol, TN, and A.J. Ashe and his wife Robbie of Akron, OH; and sister, Mary Louise Davis and husband Richard of Kenton, TN. Visitation will be from 2 to 4PM Sunday, January 13, 2008 at Restland Funeral Home. Graveside Service: 10AM Monday, January 14, 2008 at Restland Memorial Park. A memorial service will follow at 11AM at The Heights Baptist Church, 201 W. Renner Rd, Richardson, TX 75080. Memorials may be made to The Heights Baptist Church-Missions Fund.
