Mr. Farris Douglas Malone's Obituary
Farris Douglas Malone was born on May 29, 1933, in Fannin County, Texas. He passed away on June 29, 2022, in his sleep at his Richardson, Texas, home.
Farris earned his Ph. D. in Physics from the University of North Texas.
He served his country in the United States Army during the 1950s and rose to the rank of Corporal during his service.
Professionally, he was a process engineer at Texas Instruments. Farris was name TI Fellow in 1998 and retired from TI in 2005 after forty-four years of service.
He was preceded in death by his son Philip Malone in 1999.
Farris married the former Betty Joyce Taylor on March 16, 1956 and celebrated 66 wedded years this year. To this union were born two daughters: Janice Malone and Laura (Malone) Davis. Additionally, two granddaughters survive Farris: Hannah Davis and Lily Davis.
Farris was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Richardson.
A funeral service in Wildwood Chapel at Restland Memorial Park will commence at 2PM on Monday, July 11, 2022. Family will receive friends one hour prior to the funeral. Interment with military honors will follow the funeral at Restland Memorial Park.
