Faustino "Tino" Benavidez, age 68, passed away peacefully, leaving behind a legacy of love, laughter, and unforgettable conversations. There wasn't a person Tino met that he couldn't strike up a conversation with. Whether you were family, a lifelong friend, or someone he had just met, he had a gift for making people feel welcome.
His warmth, humor, and storytelling will be remembered by all who had the pleasure of knowing him.
Tino loved his family deeply-they were the center of his world. He was a devoted husband to his wife of 45 years, whose partnership was a testament to enduring love and commitment. He was a proud father to Tina Benavidez, Jennifer Montes, and stepson Christopher Luna. Nothing brought him more joy than spending time with his children and watching his family grow.
He was a cherished grandfather to Brittney Alcala, Jason Patrick Randall, Dailen Montes, Brookllinn Randall, Gabriel Barraza, Violet Barbosa, and Lorelei Barbosa. He was also blessed with six great-grandchildren: Jacob Randle, Jordan Sterling, Rubee Vargas, Mateo Vargas, Noah Randle, and Armani Montes.
Faustino's' love and cherished memories will continue to live on in the hearts of his loving mother Maria Elena Torres Benavidez, his siblings Albert (Lu), Benavidez, Alma (Tony) Barrientez & Leticia Tobias as well as his numerous nieces and nephews. He also leaves behind his beloved dog, Peewee, who was always by his side.
Each of them held a special place in his heart.
Tino was preceded in death by his father, Faustino Benavidez, Sr., and Sister Josephine Perez.
A devoted fan of the Dallas Cowboys, Tino could often be found cheering passionately for his team. Win or lose, his loyalty never wavered-just another reflection of the steadfast love he showed to those around him.
Though our hearts ache in his absence, we take comfort in knowing he is at peace. He will be deeply missed and forever remembered for his big heart, friendly spirit, and unwavering love for his family. His memory will live on in every story shared, every laugh echoed, and every family gathering where his presence will always be felt
