Faye Doloris (Armstrong) Carlton, age 88, a long time resident of Mesquite, Texas, passed away on May 19, 2019 at Edgewood Rehab and Care Center in Mesquite. She was born August 25, 1930 in Dallas to William Erving and Lois Edie Morton Armstrong. She was a devoted wife and mother of 8 children; 4 boys and 4 girls. She was also a homemaker and neighborhood baby sitter to numerous children over the years. She treated them all like they were her own and was called "Mama Bill."
Doloris was preceded in death by: her parents; husband of almost 50 years, Billy Joe Carlton (married February 14, 1948); her son, Gary Glenn Carlton and brother, Travis Armstrong.
She is survived by her children and their spouses (in birth order): Judy (Tim) Sullivan of Bullhead City, AZ; son, Don (Janie) of Rowlett, TX; son, Mark Carlton of Mesquite, TX; daughter, Joy (Matt) Burt of Dallas, TX; daughter, Paula (Bruce) Stanley of Mesquite, TX; son, Bryan Carlton of Mesquite, TX and daughter Lisa (John) Phillips of Holly Lake Ranch, TX.; her 90 year old brother, Reveris (Betsy) Armstrong of Houston, TX; 11 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren and numerous other relatives and friends.
