Faye Boyer's Obituary
Faye Boyer, 82, of Dallas passed away peacefully on October 20, 2016 of complications following surgery. She was born on October 29, 1933 in Ft. Worth, TX. Faye married Robert J. (Bob) Boyer on July 5, 1955. They made a home and raised their family in west Texas. She was a devoted wife and mother, dedicating herself to her family’s pursuits. She was a friend to everyone she met, whether you were her neighbor or an associate where she shopped. Faye’s favorite hobby was gardening and her work was honored by their neighborhood several times. She loved to spend time with family, travel and was an avid reader. Faye and Bob shared a love of live theatre and music throughout their lives, attending area theatre productions and performances of the Dallas Symphony Orchestra. She was as comfortable dressing up for a Broadway production as she was in her jeans digging in her garden. Faye is survived by her husband of 61 years, Bob; children, Teresa and Darren Browning of Plano, TX, Doug and Amy Boyer of Little Elm, TX and Donna Rosa of Jackson, MS; grandchildren, Greg, Sean and Mason; sister, Maye Metcalf and several nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents, William and Dora Howard Jackson. Visitation will be held at Restland Funeral Home on Sunday, October 23rd, 2:00 – 4:00PM. Services will be held at 12:30 PM, Monday, October 24, 2016 in The Wildwood Chapel at Restland followed by a reception at 2:00 PM at Restland Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. “Her children rise up and call her blessed; her husband also, and he praises her: Many women have done excellently, but you surpass them all.” Proverbs 31: 28-30 Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Restland Funeral Home and Memorial Park, 13005 Greenville Avenue, at Restland Road, Dallas, TX 75243.
