Faye Russell Derr's Obituary
Amelia Faye Russell Derr of Dallas, TX born May 31, 1931 passed away peacefully on May 11, 2017. She was preceded in death by her husband Roy A. Derr, daughter Debbie Derr, and great-grandson Tripp Foster. She is survived by daughter and son in law Pattie and Bill Foster, sons Larry Derr and his wife Stefanie, David Derr and his wife Chris, eight grandchildren, twelve great grandchildren, and many nieces, nephews and friends. She retired after 17 years of service with Sears Fashion Center as a buyer for women’s apparel. She will be remembered for her great faith and love for her church, God, and her dedicated service to the Sunday School ministry and Vacation Bible School. One of her most rewarding services to the church was singing high soprano in the choir, sharing her love for Jesus Christ. In her later years, she served her church family by organizing trips and activities for the senior adult groups. In retirement she and her husband Roy enjoyed time with friends in several RV clubs, traveling around the country. Visitation will be from 6:00 – 8:00 P.M. on Monday, May 15th at Restland Funeral Home, with services to be held Tuesday, May 16th at 10:00 A.M. at Restland Wildwood Chapel in Dallas. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Restland Funeral Home and Memorial Park, 13005 Greenville Avenue, at Restland Road, Dallas, TX 75243.
