Faye Janet Hinnrichs' Obituary
Although Mom's "light went out", she will forever shine brightly in our hearts and memories.
Faye Janet (Finger) Hinnrichs of Plano, TX, passed away peacefully at home on June 3, 2025, at 91 years young.
Born in March 1934 to the late Lawrence and Claryce Finger of Peshtigo, WI, Faye graduated from the Milwaukee Hospital School of Nursing and began her career at the Milwaukee Hospital. In 1956, she married Alan Hinnrichs of Milwaukee and continued working while starting a family. Al’s career later transferred them to Texas, where Faye became a devoted full-time mother of four and a proud Domestic Engineer. She and Al enjoyed cheering on their children and grandchildren in every event imaginable, raising Great Danes, collecting Carnival Glass, and traveling the world together during their 53 years of marriage.
Faye was always an optimist, choosing to see the glass as half full no matter the circumstances. She offered a warm smile and friendly conversation to everyone she met and was genuinely interested in hearing their stories. Her green thumb was legendary, and she was a voracious reader—never without a stack of books or magazines close by.
She is survived by her brother James (Pat) Finger; her children Kathy Hannon, Greg (Kim) Hinnrichs, Dave Hinnrichs, and Cindy (Steve) Parnell; six grandchildren; and three (almost four) great-grandchildren.
A private interment will be held for immediate family. In lieu of flowers, Faye requested that donations be made to Operation Kindness in her memory.
