Faye Smith's Obituary
Faye Carter Smith, age 93, passed away on June 4, 2010, after a brief illness. She was surrounded by her loving daughters at the time of her death. Faye was born on December 7, 1916 in rural Fannin County, Texas, near Ladonia to J.R. and Margaret Carter. She graduated from Ladonia High School, was a homemaker there and later worked and retired from Texas Instruments. She was a lifelong member of the First Christian Church of Ladonia. She married Carl Edward (Smitty) Smith who preceded her in death. She is survived by two daughters, Robbie Holloway of McKinney and Carla Shields and husband Ron of Euless. She is also survived by three grandchildren: Kim Nelson, Lorri Shields, and Suzanne Shields; and three great-grandchildren. She is also survived by a sister, Wilma Sandlin of Dallas. She will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and caregivers.
