Felix Roberto Meneses' Obituary
On December 31st, 2024, Felix Roberto Meneses passed away in Dallas, Texas at age 85. Felix was born in Caripito a city in the state of Monagas, Venezuela on November 20th, 1939, to Roberto Meneses and Aurora Aellos De Meneses.
On August 16th, 1967, Felix wed Mariana Ofelia Fernandez. They have three children: Felix, Aurora, and Mariana all born in Caracas, Venezuela. In 1980, Mariana and Felix moved their family to Baton Rouge, Louisiana to begin their life in the United States. Shortly after, they settled in Richardson, Texas.
Felix began working at an early age to help support his family until finally moving up to an office job for the government in Venezuela. When Felix and Mariana began their life together and had their own family, Felix continued to pursue opportunities that would enrich he and Mariana’s family. He sacrificed many things to be able to provide the happy and fulfilling life they wanted for their children. After moving their family to the United States Felix had a long career working in the North Dallas area as a construction supervisor a project manager for a prominent commercial and residential real estate owner.
Family was everything to Felix. He was a very humble man and had a huge heart. His favorite times were spent cooking for and entertaining his children and grandchildren. His hobbies included singing, cooking, painting, and wood burning art.
Felix is survived by his son Felix J. Meneses of Dallas (Lilly), his two daughters Aurora McKinney of Frisco (Brent) and Mariana Perez of Mesquite (José Angel). He is also survived by his sister Aura Bacaud of France (Roberto), brother Nestor Meneses of Puerto Ordaz, Venezuela (Deisy), and niece-in-law Iris Mancilla-Gabriel (Dan) of Ennis. Felix has 8 grandchildren: Kyle McKinney, Taylor McKinney, Monique Meneses, Daniel Meneses, Maria Gabriela Perez, Disamar Perez, Ian Perez, and Joseph Perez. And his great grandchild Maguire McKinney who misses him dearly.
Felix’s family and friends will keep his memory alive forever in their hearts through music and laughter.
Felix’s life will be celebrated with a private service for family and friends.
