Fernando Flores Lozano's Obituary
Fernando Flores Lozano was born on August 27, 1942 in Pharr, Texas, and he passed away in the loving care of his family on February 1, 2017 in Plano, Texas. Fernando was preceded in death by his parents, Jose Francisco Lozano and Maria Flores Lozano. Fernando is survived by his wife of 49 years, Evangeline, and their four children: Fernando Daniel, Linda Michelle, Joseph Edward and wife Sandra, and Marco Antonio; and their four grandchildren Joseph, Emma, Gabriella and Luke. He is also survived by his siblings Jose R. Lozano, Maria Ramirez, Mercedes Ramirez, Enriqueta Lozano, and Rosario Villarreal. Fernando was an Elementary and Middle School Principal, bilingual teacher trainer, and was instrumental in writing bilingual curriculum during his years in education. Fernando fought valiantly these last years, and we are especially thankful that God blessed us to be able to have him in our lives these last seven months. He will be remembered as a loving husband (Honey), Daddy and Grandpa (Ito/PawPaw) who especially enjoyed fishing with Eva on sunny days, being able to grill a good steak on the BBQ, and deer hunting with his buddies. He also would have been proud to say “How ‘bout them Cowboys!” this past season! Family will receive friends on Tuesday, February 7, 2017 from 6-8 PM at Restland Funeral Home with Rosary starting at 7 PM. Funeral service will be held on Wednesday, February 8, 2017 at 10 AM at the St. Jude Catholic Church in Allen, Texas. A reception will be held from 1:00 to 5:00 PM, Wednesday, February 8, 2017 at Watermere Frisco Ballroom Upstairs, 4220 Cotton Gin Road, Frisco, TX 75034, (972) 525-8000. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Restland Funeral Home and Memorial Park, 13005 Greenville Avenue, Dallas, Texas, 75243.
