Fernando Javier Perez's Obituary
Fernando Javier Perez of Mesquite, Texas, passed away unexpectedly on October 10, 2025 in an accidental drowning in Galveston, Texas. His friends and family are devastated and deeply saddened by this sudden loss. He was 33 years old.
Javier was born on November 19, 1991 to Mario Alberto Perez and Sofia Calderon Perez in Geneva, Illinois. He moved with his parents and two older brothers to the Dallas area at the young age of 5. He attended Rowlett High School and then went on to pursue a career as a printer technician.
At his core, Javi was a father first. His children were his world. He showed up for them in a thousand quiet ways-not with big speeches, but with small moments. He didn't just tell his kids how to live-he showed them, through his actions, what it meant to be present, devoted, and real. Javi was also a gamer, and proud of it. Gaming wasn't just an escape for him-it was a way of engaging with the world. It taught him persistence, strategy, and joy. And it gave him something to share with his children-hours spent side by side, laughing, competing, teaming up, and learning together. The games may have ended, but those memories will last forever.
He didn't chase attention, but he left an impact. Javier was the kind of person who made others feel safe, heard, and free to be themselves. He loved DragonBallZ, WWE, and was a movie connoisseur. His absence is deeply felt, but his presence is still everywhere: in the lives he shaped, the love he gave, and the quiet strength he showed every day.
Javi is survived by his three beloved children Madden, Vamiera, and Thiago; his father Mario Alberto Perez; his mother Sofia Calderon; his two brothers Mario A. Perez and Orlando T. Perez (Kristen); as well as many other family members and friends.
