age of 90.

Flavia was born in Dallas, Texas in 1930 and attended and graduated Crozier Tech in
1950. She married Ben Fuentes a private in the Army in 1953 and soon after started a
family. She divorced and began working to support her family as a single mother. She
worked as a loan officer and sales person. In 1967 she began working as an Accountant
and Collector for Methodist Hospital from which she retired. Through her hard work she
was able to purchase her own home to raise her family as a single parent.
She was a very devoted Mother who made sure all her children were loved, clothed, fed
and she never missed a holiday. She took the responsibility of both Mother and Father,
provider, best friend and caregiver. She not only did this for her children but many of her
grandchildren as well. She was a very kind, loving and caring person and loved to help
others.
She always stayed strong in her faith reading her Bible daily even through the toughest
times and taught all to never lose their faith, be strong, never give up and always believe.
She will be missed by many, but never forgotten. Her infectious laugh and smile will
always remain in our hearts. Her legacy will live on in the many hearts that she has
touched and the many that have been blessed to know and love her.
