Flonnis C West's Obituary
Born January 27, 1919, in South Carolina passed away December 24. Preceded in death by husband, John Q. A. West, Jr. Survived by two daughters and sons-in- law; Vicki and Jim Harrison, Mimi and Philip Wuntch; one granddaughter, Tori Harrison Cohorn and husband, Mark, and three great-grandchildren; one grandson, Jonathan Harrison. Also survived by a sister, Lucille Kelly, and a brother, Herman Cox, both of South Carolina. Flonnis graduated from Columbia High School in 1938, and then moved to Knoxville, TN. She married John in 1941, and soon moved to Fort Benning, GA, where John was stationed. Flonnis worked at the Infantry School during the first part of World War II. After the war, the family moved to Dallas. She was a devoted wife, mother, and homemaker. She was active in Bible Memory Association and was a faithful member of Scofield Church. A graveside service will be held on Thursday, December 30, 2010 at 10:00 AM at Restland Memorial Park.
