Florence Broom's Obituary
Broom, Florence was born on October 01, 1921 in Arlington, Texas and passed away on March 16, 2013 in Tyler, Texas. She was preceded in death by her husband, Paul Broom and son, Paul Broom Jr. Florence had the most important occupation in her home, she was the model housewife, raising the family while Paul traveled. She busied herself while Paul traveled with her sewing, flowers, wonderful neighbors and the enjoyable birds. She could remember even the most complex scientific flower and bird names. After Paul retired they became part-time farmers in Troup while maintaining their Tyler home. They enjoyed the farm animals, a large garden and the native plants. She had a most wonderful life-in the later years she enjoyed viewing all the pictures she had taken throughout her life. She is survived by her daughter, Lynn Werner and her husband, Roy; sister, Pebba McCollum; two grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Services will be 10:00 AM Thursday, March 21, 2013 in Restland Wildwood Chapel. Visitation one hour prior. Memorials may be made to Meals on Wheels, Tyler, Texas.
