Florence Elinor Dring's Obituary
F. Elinor Dring, 98, died April 27, 2009 in Dallas, TX. “ELLIE” was born in 1910 in Benton Harbor, MI. In 1934, she married M.J. Dring. Together Ellie and Mac co-founded the Dring Engineering Company in Dallas 1953. As treasurer of the firm she was a guiding asset in the growth and success of the air conditioning company. In 1965, due to Mac’s illness, they sold the company. Ellie was active in the Farmer’s Branch Women’s Club. She loved to play bridge, travel and dance. Ron Stuart was her constant companion until her death. She moved to The Bentley Manor and received loving care by Annie Katebe. Ellie is survived by daughters, Mary Johnson of Annandale, VA and Susan Gee of Addison, TX; five grandchildren, Laura Albaneze, Ken Johnson, Jennifer Fagen, Karen Gee-Schlachter, Douglas Gee; and 10 great grandchildren. She was a loving and exemplary woman. She shall be remembered for her intelligence, strength, and quick wit. Graveside services will be at Restland Memorial Park, 13005 Greenville Ave, 3:00PM, Thursday, April 30th.
