Florence Susan Peressenyi's Obituary
Beloved mother, grandmother and great-grandmother passed away peacefully on March 5, 2009. she was born in Braddock, Pennsylvania on December 29, 1919 and had lived in Czechoslovakia and New York prior to coming to Texas over thirty years ago. She is survived by her son, Dusan (Dee) Kolbasovsky and daughter and son-in-law Eva and Larry Carter. She is also survived by grandchildren, Dr. Andrew and wife, Lia Kolbasovsky, and granddaughter Dr. Linda Kolbasovsky. Florence’s step-grandchildren include James Carter and his wife Cindy, Lori Carter Van Sprang and husband Roy, and step-granddaughter, Linda Carter. Florence’s great-grandchildren include Juliana and Grace Kolbasovsky, as well as step-grandchildren, Jesse Carter, Josh and Laura Van Sprang, Lindsey and Christina Carter. Surviving nieces include Adele Williams and Millie Stefunek and their families. Florence’s profession was in real-estate. Later she enjoyed taking care of little children, whom she loved with a passion. She had done volunteer work at Medical City in Dallas, working with children. She was a member of the Czech Circle of Women in Dallas. She was a strong and loving individual, with a wonderful sense of humor and unique personality. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association in Florence’s name.
