Floy Louise Jung Gray's Obituary
Gray, Floy Louise Jung ~ Has gone home to be with the Lord on August 9th, 2011 at the age of 90 in Houston, TX after a brief illness. Floy was raised in Palestine, TX, graduate of Palestine H.S. and earned an Associates degree in Horticulture from Richland College. Proceeded in death by her late husband Ed Joe Jung Sr. whom she owned and operated Jung’s Oriental Foods and Gifts as well as Jung’s Garden Center and raised their four children together. In her later years she married the late Eric Gray. Floy enjoyed giving her talents and time to Wilshire Baptist Church in many ways such as President of the International Club, designing floral arrangements, sending out cards, and cooking and delivering hot meals. She was an avid oil painter and actively participated in her painting group. Floy also spent time tending to her home gardens and was an instructor of Horticulture classes at North Lake Community College. She is survived by: Sister Norma Bradley from Dallas, Children Eddie and Angela Jung from Houston, Suzi and Les Young from Honolulu, HI, Richard and Peggy Jung from Plano, Jodi Jung from Houston, Buck and Helen Jung from Dallas, Joyce and Robert Henry, Jr. from Jacksonville, TX, and Carole and Michael Michalec from Mooresville, NC, and her 18 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren, and 5 great-great-grandchildren. Floy will be greatly missed and be in our hearts forever. Family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. on Friday, August 19th, 2011 at Restland Funeral Home for visitation. Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, August 20th, 2011 at Restland Memorial Chapel.
