Floyd Martin Alsup's Obituary
Floyd Martin (Jack) Alsup was born on June 19, 1923 Walnut Grove, Texas and passed away on May 22, 2015 in Dallas, Texas. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, Dorothy Frances Alsup, one granddaughter and 12 siblings. Jack Alsup married Frances Whiteman on December 1, 1946 and they were longtime residents of Garland, Texas. He was a charter member of Axe Memorial United Methodist Church. Jack was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather. He will be missed and remembered by daughters, Pam Blackmore, Suzanne Thomas and husband, Jacky, and Gayla Denton; grandchildren, Dean, Gene, Erin, Matt, Deanna and Evan; and great-grand daughter, Kenzie. The visitation for Jack will be from 6:00 – 8:00PM on Monday, May 25, 2015 at Restland Funeral Home. The funeral service for Jack will be at 1:00 PM on Tuesday, May 26, 2015 at Axe Memorial United Methodist Church, Garland, TX. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Restland Funeral Home and Memorial Park, 13005 Greenville Avenue, at Restland Road, Dallas, TX 75243.
