Floyd Merle Fields' Obituary
Fields, Floyd Merle ~ 92, a resident of Dallas since 1946, passed away on February 2nd, 2011. He was born to Maggie and Francis Fields on February 23, 1919. He is survived by his beloved wife Mary Ford, and son, Donald; daughters, Deborah Fields Holbrook, Sharon Bradford and husband Lee; and two treasured granddaughters, Shea Petty, Nicole Swick and husband Carl. He was a Veteran of World War II where he served as a Staff Sergeant in the Air Force from 1941 to 1945. He graduated from Southern Methodist University in 1950. He retired from Eastman Kodak, after 34 years of employment. He enjoyed spending most of his time playing golf and gardening. Floyd was a 32nd Degree Scottish Rite Mason. He was also a member of Highland Park Methodist Church and the 2×2 Sunday School Class. He will be dearly missed by many beloved friends who were blessed to have known him. Visitation will be held at Restland, on Thursday, the 11th, from 6-8 pm. The funeral service will be at 10 am, on Friday, in the Wildwood Chapel with reception to follow.
