I am so saddened to read that Mr. Howland has passed. I always enjoyed my times that I was able to share with him. I could feel that he was truly a special person. He was always so kind to me, even when his day was not going so well. I regret not being able to go out to that lunch we had talked about. I would have loved to give him one more hug! I am sending up prayers of comfort and peace for you in this difficult time. Thank you for making me feel so welcome in your home.

Dear Brother, It has been a little over a week since you left this earth. Things are the same AND they are NOT!!. Country songs bring memories of you flooding back to me; and when I look up to the heavens and see the stars, I feel as if you, Momma and our other relatives are smiling together, looking down, and feeling sorry for us. I can hear you say, "Let me know if you need anything", which is what you always said every time we departed from one another.

Vanessa, Jim and I have had an abundance of condolences, well wishes, cards and flowers, sent to us, in honor of you. Know that you were and ARE LOVED not only by us but by many! Our hearts are saddened by the suffering you had to endure and you leaving us but we, along with you, are now at peace, knowing that you are no longer in discomfort, Our memories of you, from our lives together, will carry us forward until the day we meet again!

For now, I simply say Goodbye and enjoy your NEW Life!

Dear Jack and Howland Family,
My sister and brother-in-law, Susan and Joe, have been great neighbors and friends for many years with Jack. I would get updates and requests for prayers over the years from my sister Susan for Jack and He would pull thru which made me so happy! I think He had nine lives! Well like my other sister Karen said in Her note Jack gave it a great fight but the Lord called Him home to take care of things in heaven! Dear Jack, how I looked forward to visiting you when we came to Ferris to see my sister Susan and Joe Burch. I always liked knowing that you were looking out for my sister at work and at home. God bless you and your family. You gave it a good fight but I think the Lord needed his tool room put in order. Your good humor and loyalty to family and friends is something for us all to aspire too. When I think of you it will be sitting under the carport at my sister's home. Rest in Peace dear Friend.
