Floyd E. Meeks Jr.'s Obituary
MEEKS, JR. FLOYD E. “CORKY” was born December 25, 1946 in Dallas, Texas to Floyd Ellis, Sr. and Winifred Edith (Young) Meeks. He passed away March 23, 2014 in Dallas. Corky was a people person who never met a stranger. He proudly served his country in the US Army. He was a talented, self employed remodeling contractor, building many friendships with his clients throughout the years. Left to cherish his memory are his loving wife of 46 years, Ann (Hendley) Meeks; son, Aaron Meeks; one daughter, Alicia Meeks; one granddaughter, Madison Meeks; and his mother-in-law, Mrs. Nita Hendley. He is also loved and remembered by a number of other family members, dear friends, and clients. Visitation will be held from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM Thursday, March 27, 2014 at Restland Funeral Home. Graveside service will be held Friday, March 28, 2014 at 10:15 AM at DFW National Cemetery with a Memorial service at 3:00 PM at Restland Wildwood Chapel.
