Forrest Christopher Ormsbee's Obituary
ORMSBEE, Forrest Christopher Ormsbee Jr. passed away at home August 15, 2020 as a result of complications associated with pancreatic cancer. He was born in Dallas, TX on February 10, 1945. Chris grew up in Dallas, graduated from Woodrow Wilson High School and East Texas State University with a BS in Journalism. Following college, he served in the U.S. Army, stationed in Fort Stewart GA and Kaiserslautein Germany. After his military service, Chris came back to Dallas to work with Elgin Butler Brick Co., and later with Chemcentral Chemical. In 1981, Chris received a promotion at Chemcentral and moved his family to Overland Park, KS for the next ten years of his career. Later, Chris came back to Texas to finish his tenure with Chemcentral and retire in Arlington, TX. He is survived by his wife of 51 years Kay; his son and daughter-in-law Bryan and Lisa Ormsbee, and grandchildren Luke and Arden; his daughter Carrie Davis, and grandsons Drew and Owen. He is also survived by his sister and brother-in-law Eloise (Bitsy) and Donny Richards. Sister in law Robbie and Don Todd. As well as many nieces, nephews, and friends. Chris was an avid hunter, fisher and family man, he loved spending time with his wife traveling, and hanging out with his grandchildren and bird dogs. Service will be held Saturday, August 22, 2020 at 10:00 AM at the Pavalion located near Whispering Waters and Valley View at Restland Funeral Home.
