Frances Eleanor Carter's Obituary
CARTER, FRANCES E. (DALRYMPLE) Died peacefully in her sleep May 24, 2012. Born Dec 1, 1918 in LaCygne, KA. A devoted wife and a loving mother, grandmother & great grandmother, Fran had a remarkable ability to accentuate the positive in every instance. She never knew a stranger and had an incredible zest for life. She grew up in the Kansas City area and married William H. Carter on April 9, 1938. They moved to Dallas on Christmas Day the same year. Preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, Bill Carter; brother Elbert (Bud) Dalrymple & daughter-in-law Jeanette R. Carter. She is survived by son, David W. Carter & his wife Becky of Palm Coast, FL; son, Donald A. Carter & daughter-in-law Kathie (Richardson, TX); grandsons, Mark B. Carter & wife Shannon (Milton, GA) & LTC Andrew T. Carter & wife Rebecca (Keller, TX); granddaughter, Vanessa P. Carter (Norcross, GA); great grandchildren, Abigail, Julianna & William Carter; nephews, Carter and Roger Crawford, special friend, Virginia Miller and numerous friends. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Scottish Rite Hospital for Children, 2222 Welborn St, Dallas, TX 75219. Services to be held at Restland Wildwood Chapel at 12:30pm, Sat. June 2nd. Visitation 11:30am preceding service.
