Frances Ruth Chappell's Obituary
Frances Ruth Elliott Chappell was born on September 22, 1929 in Sherman, Texas to Lee and France Elliott. She went to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on November 24, 2015. At the age of 19 she married Rayburn Lee Chappell Jr. and they had three sons. The family’s first home was in the Dallas area. After living for a time in both California and Arizona, R.L. and Frances settled in their current home in Mesquite. Frances had a long career at Shedd’s Foods in Dallas doing various jobs, retiring as a lab technician in 1987. She was a dedicated employee working long hours to help provide for her family. In her retirement she enjoyed traveling, yearly trips in their RV, Cowboys games, and spending time with her family. She is survived by her three sons and daughters-in-law, Wayne and Marilyn Chappell of Mesquite, David and Lynn Chappell of Garland, and Steve and Julie Chappell of McKinney, 19 grandchildren and great grandchildren, sisters Mary Fullington and Lela Parham, and brothers-in-law Arthur Fullington and Stanley Davis. She was preceded in death by her husband Rayburn Chappell Jr., brothers Jimmy Elliott, Homer Elliott, and JC Elliott, and sisters Opel King, Pauline Buchanan, Ellen Young, Buna Mae Jackson, and Una Fey Elliott. She was dearly loved and will be deeply missed. The visitation for Frances Chappell will be from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM Friday, November 27, 2015 at Restland Funeral Home. The memorial service for Frances will be held on Saturday, November 28, 2015 at 10:30 AM at Oates Drive Baptist Church. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Restland Funeral Home and Memorial Park, 13005 Greenville Avenue, at Restland Road, Dallas, TX 75243.
