Frances Fern Fox's Obituary
Frances Fern Fox lost her long, hard fought journey on August 27th, 2016. She was born in San Angelo, Texas, on June 9th, 1925. She came to Dallas where she met the love of her life, Paul Fox Jr., and they were married before he went into the Marine Corps. Theirs was a marriage of 73 years, filled with many adventures, a lot of laughter and much love. They had 2 daughters that were dearly loved and meant the world to her. While making their home in Richardson, Texas, she had a wonderful career as Office Manager with Texas A & M Research Center where she retired after 24 years. She was always professional going beyond what was necessary to get the job done with a smile on her face while doing it. She loved her job as well as all of her coworkers and considered them to be her second family. Fern and Paul attended First United Methodist Church in Richardson, Texas, for over 50 years where they were long time members of the Wesleyan Adult Sunday School Class. Fern volunteered her time to help with receptions and to serve meals. She was also a member of the Richardson Women’s Club for several years. Fern was preceded in death by a daughter Sharon (Shay Springman) Fox, her mother Murl Udstuen, and her sister Virginia Benedict. She is survived by her husband Paul Fox Jr. of Richardson, Texas, Daughter and her husband Gail and Bill Teel of Mckinney, Texas , Grandson Paul Teel of Mckinney, Texas, Granddaughter Heather (Warford) Fox of Richardson, Great grandsons, Jordan Warford, Ozzie Teel and Gardner Teel. You lived a beautiful life because you were a beautiful soul. Thanks for loving us and teaching us how to love back. You will truly be missed…. In Lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to the Alzheimer’s Association. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Restland Funeral Home and Memorial Park, 13005 Greenville Avenue, Dallas, TX 75243.
