Frances Ann Finklea's Obituary
FINKLEA, FRANCES ANN HUFFHINES passed away on January 27, 2007 at the age of 85. She was preceded in death by her husband of 58 years, Jack Finklea. She is survived by two sisters, Doris Gleason of Carrollton and Marjorie Griffing of University Park. Her three children, Judy Spearman of Midlothian, Susan French of Round Rock, and John Finklea of Garland, and four grandchildren, also survive her. Born in Dallas on April 13, 1921, Frances was a descendant of one of the founding families of Richardson, TX. She was a graduate of North Dallas High School where she was president of the City-wide Championship Debate Team. Her employment included time at Sanger-Harris. A loving mother to her three children and a faithful friend to everyone else, Frances is remembered for her hospitality, her love of music, and her faith in the Lord Jesus Christ. Jack and Frances were charter members of Shiloh Terrace Baptist Church where she served in the choir and as the librarian for many years. She was a member of Scofield Memorial Church in Dallas at the time of her death. Her countless service to others and support of the gospel of Jesus are reminders of her love for the One in whose presence she now joyously sings. Family will receive friends from 6-8 PM Friday, February 2, 2007 at Restland Funeral Home. Services will be held on February 3, 2007 at 12:30 pm at Restland Wildwood Chapel. Interment will follow at Restland Memorial Park. Memorials may be sent in lieu of flowers to Scofield Memorial Church.
