Frances Jean Kendrick's Obituary
Frances Jean Hollingsworth Kendrick peacefully died at her home in Horseshoe Bay, TX on August 6, 2016. She was born on December 2, 1925 in Indianapolis, Indiana. Frances was the oldest child of Harry Z. and Myrtle Mae Goode Hollingsworth. Preceded in death by her parents and sister, Phyllis Stearns. Frances is survived by Choyce, her husband of 53 years, son Geoffrey King (Jeannie) of Bedford TX, son James Manning Kendrick of Oak Point TX, daughter Susan Lorene Thomas (Bill) of Weatherford TX, daughter Dorothy Caroline Coker of Horseshoe Bay TX, brother Harry Z. Hollingsworth of Sugar Hill GA, 9 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. Frances was a principal shareholder and Sales Manager for MAPSCO Inc, a leading regional map publisher and map retailer. She also was a founding member of an American map dealers group/which over the years broadened its appeal to other segments of the map industry and became the International Map Industry Association with world-wide membership. She and Choyce retired in 1989 and moved to the Hill Country. Golf then went from a weekend treat to full time enjoyment. She also was an avid bridge player. Frances was a fantastic wife, a strong partner, a loving parent, a doting grandmother, but most of all, a genuinely nice lady. She is missed.
