Frances Maxine "Mackie" Miller's Obituary
Frances Maxine Miller, also lovingly known as “Mackie” was born on January 18, 1939, along with her twin brother, Alvin Eugene Miller to Horace Alvin and Ora Lin Miller, in Dallas, Texas. She passed from this life on May 19, 2016, in McKinney, Texas. Mackie was born with cerebral palsy, but it never affected her sweet, loving spirit and her zest for life, and it never stopped her from enjoying life and giving as much as she could to others. During the time when she lived at home, she absolutely loved pets, especially her dog, Bear and her cat, Yellow Kitty. She also loved being outside and riding on the golf cart with her family. She also loved to embroider and despite her disability, she worked very hard and produced some beautiful pieces that her family framed and cherished. You could always count on Mackie to remember birthdays and her care and concern for others was obvious. Mackie had an upbeat spirit and was always ready to laugh and smile. Her gentle, loving and caring spirit will be greatly missed by her family. She is preceded in death by her father and mother and brother. She is survived by her sister in law, Rita Miller and niece, Rita Christman, and her cousins Lil Foster, Katie Mae Lyon, Greg Bounds, and many great cousins. Family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 pm on Monday, May 23, 2016 at Restland Funeral Home. Funeral Service to honor Mackie will take place at 4:00 pm on Tuesday, May 24, 2016 at The Abbey Chapel at Restland Funeral Home. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Restland Funeral Home and Memorial Park, 13005 Greenville Avenue, Dallas, TX 75243.
