Frances Martin's Obituary
MARTIN, FRANCES Frances went to the arms of her Savior, Jesus Christ on March 7, 2014. She was born October 5, 1925, daughter of Lon C. and Hattie C. Stapp in Blue Ridge, Texas. After finishing Blue Ridge High School she came to Dallas in 1942, attended and finished Draughans Business College. During World War II she worked at the M.K.T. Railroad. In 1946 she married Frank Martin and had a wonderful 50 years of marriage before he passed away in 1996. They lived in Portland, Oregon for sometime, traveled and took many cruises and enjoyed each other so much. After 40 years of service, retired from (then) Rauscher Pierce Refsnes Inc. as an executive secretary. She is preceded in death by her husband, mother and father, and two brothers. Frances is survived by her loving sister, Freda Hawkins of Dallas; nieces, Lynn and Larry Bitros of Terrell, Texas, Carolyn Hawkins of Seven Points, Texas, and Mary and Ken Pauley of New Orleans, Louisiana; nephews, Mike and Judy Hawkins of Dallas, Texas, William and Carol Stapp of Washington DC. She left many friends and was a member of Lakeside Baptist Church. She always was thankful to God for such a wonderful life. Services will be held at 3:00 PM on Tuesday, March 11, 2014 at Restland Abbey Chapel with visitation 1 hour prior to the service at the chapel. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Lakeside Baptist Church or the charity of your choice.
