Frances Caroline Prickett's Obituary
Frances Caroline (John) Prickett was born on January 14, 1928, in Dallas, Texas, and passed away peacefully on May 14, 2026, in Trinidad, Texas, at the age of 98.
Caroline was married to Dr. Tom Prickett Jr. for 67 loving years until his passing in 2013. Together, they built a life centered on faith, family, and service to their community.
A devoted homemaker, Caroline was deeply involved in the Richardson community throughout her life. She was an active member of several local organizations, most notably the Richardson Women’s Club, where she proudly served in numerous leadership roles for more than 40 years. She was widely known for her dedication to community service, philanthropy, and helping others. Caroline and her husband were also founding members of the First United Methodist Church in Richardson, a testament to their strong faith and commitment to their community.
Caroline was preceded in death by her husband, Dr. Tom Prickett Jr.; an infant daughter; her daughter, Cathy Prickett Hill; her brothers, William John and Robert John; and her parents, Robert Jackson John and Loye Fay John.
She is survived by her son, Tom Prickett III and wife Shirley; her daughter, Cindy Prickett; her grandchildren, John Carpenter, Amy Collins, Caroline Presley, Robert Prickett, and William Prickett; seven great-grandchildren; and her sister, Loye Fay Bushong and family.
The family would especially like to express their heartfelt gratitude to Cindy for the loving care and devotion she gave to her mother throughout her long illness.
Caroline was deeply loved and will be greatly missed. She was the cornerstone of her family, providing strength, love, and guidance to generations.
Visitation will be held from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. on Friday, May 29, 2026. Funeral services will follow at 10:30 a.m. at Wildwood Chapel, with graveside services immediately following at Restland Funeral Home.
