Frances R. Redd's Obituary
Redd, Frances Ruth Age 77, of Athens, Tx passed away peacefully at home on 10/29/2010. She was born on 6/1/1933 in Garland, Tx to her parents, Ben and Grace Alexander, Frances was the youngest of three. She married G.C. “Speedy” Redd in Dallas, Tx in May, 1953. They had three children. She was a longtime resident of Garland, but had lived in Athens for the last 9 years. She enjoyed visiting with family and friends, especially her grandchildren, shopping outings with her dear friend Lola and taking care of her dog, Georgie. She was a wonderful mother and friend. Frances will be remembered by her loving children, Bob Redd and wife Debbie of Garland, Tx, Steve Redd and wife Judy of Rowlett, Tx, and Christi and Jeff Weinstein, Athens, Tx. She is also survived by grandchildren, Amy Redd Miller, Christoffer Redd, Avery, JoJo and Ryan Weinstein, Bobby, Suzi, Jimmy, Jennifer, Chris and Jeremy Redd, Preceeded in death by her husband, George Clifford (Speedy) Redd; and sisters, Beverly Kiefer and Pat Singer. Graveside service will be held at 11:00AM on Wednesday, 11/3/2010 at Restland Memorial Park. Visitation will be prior to the service from 10:00-10:45am at Restland Funeral Home.
