Frances June Shiller's Obituary
Frances June Thomas Shiller, age 91, passed away peacefully on Saturday, July 19, 2025, in Dallas, Texas, following a long and courageous battle with Alzheimer's disease. A beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, she lived a life full of grace, joy, and quiet strength-serving as a role model to all who knew her.
Fran was born on June 3, 1934, in Ballinger, Texas to Jewel Ferguson and Leon Thomas. A vivacious redhead from the day she was born until the day she passed, she was known for her sharp wit, signature laugh, radiant smile, and nurturing heart.
At Ballinger High School, Fran was head cheerleader, voted Most Popular, and active in student council. After graduation, she pursued a career in the medical field before meeting the love of her life, Leroy Shiller. Together, they built a beautiful life and raised three children. Fran was truly the heart and soul of her family, always cheering them on and helping them grow into their best selves.
Upon the birth of her only granddaughter, Kellyn, Fran became affectionately known as "Momo." Momo enjoyed cooking, baking, playing the piano, gardening, and through nine relocations with Leroy's career at Sears, she became an expert DIY decorator. But most of all, she loved spoiling her granddaughter and was Elvis Presley's biggest fan.
