SMITHAM, FRANCES LOUISE HEMPHILL born January 8, 1923 in Dallas, TX and passed away May 8, 2010 in Dallas, TX. She was preceded in death by her parents, Bernard B. & Ovie Rushing Hemphill; sister, Josephine H. Witherspoon; brothers, Bernard B. Hemphill, Jr. and William R. Hemphill; granddaughter, Sally Smitham. Louise is survived by her loving husband of 63 years, Fred Smitham, Sr.; children: Susan Jarrett and husband, Ed, Fred Smitham and wife, Susan and Craig Smitham; grandchldren: James Jarrett (Katie), Catherine Richards (Trey), John, Jennifer, Julie, Mary Grace, Hannah Jarrett, Grace, Tripp, Graham, Wilson, Emily Smitham, Craig, Jr., Frank, Claire, Creath, Colin and Jack Smitham; great grandchildren: Abbey, Robby, Corrie, Amos, Lucy Jarrett; sister, Elizabeth Wilson of San Antonio; sister-in-law, Floylee Goldberger of Austin; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and a host of friends. Services will be held at 11:00AM, Wednesday, at Believers Chapel in Dallas, TX. Visitation will be from 5:30PM – 7:30PM Tuesday at Restland Funeral Home.
