Frances B. Weaver's Obituary
WEAVER, FRANCES NELL BURLESON passed away peacefully on Sunday, January 6, 2013. At the time of her death, she lived at Grace Presbyterian Village in Dallas, Texas. She was born to Aaron and Helen (Nairn) Burleson on May 8, 1918, in Taylor, Texas. She married Edward Matthew Weaver on May 13, 1942. After World War II, they moved to Dallas, Texas. They were married 47 years until Ed passed away in 1989. Frances was a stay-at-home mom. She was active in Jeff Davis PTA, Rosemont Christian Church, Oak Cliff Country Club Golf Association, Methodist Hospital volunteers, garden and book clubs. She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, and four older siblings; Phyllis Carter, Thomas Burleson, Mary Wideman, and Bud Burleson. Survivors include a daughter, Carolyn Garrett and her husband, Don, of San Marcos, Texas; two sons, Tom Weaver of Grand Prairie, Texas and David Weaver of Atlanta, Georgia; three granddaughters, Allyson Woodland of Castle Rock, Colorado, Kelly Thorman and her husband, Robert, of Washington, D.C., Jenny Garrett of Grapevine, Texas; and one great grandson, Carter Wilson Thorman; and one niece and two nephews. A graveside service will be Wednesday, January 9, 2013, at Restland Funeral Home at noon and will be followed by a 3:00 pm memorial service at Grace Presbyterian Village, 550 E. Ann Arbor, Dallas, Texas 75216. In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made to The Caring Fund at Grace Presbyterian Village.
