Frances Sammye Webb's Obituary
Mrs. Frances Sam (Sammye) Webb died August 7, 2012 in Dallas. Sammye was a dedicated teacher in Dallas and Mesquite I.S.D. and retired from Cayuga I.S.D in 1985 after a twenty year teaching career. As a member of First Baptist Church of Athens, TX, she taught Sunday School, worked in the church library, and established the pastoral library. She loved the Lord and always shared her strong Christian faith. Survivors include her daughters and sons-in-law, Elizabeth and Ben Brown of Fairview, TX; Virginia and David Fields of Frisco, TX; and Catherine and Danny Hill of St. Louis, MO; grandchildren, Tony and Mimi Barreras of Tomball, TX; Matt and Leah Fields of Ringgold, GA; Bryan and Rebecca Lasater of Frisco, TX, and Hailey and Connor Hill of St. Louis, MO; 14 great grandchildren. Visitation will be Friday, August 10, 2012 at 5pm to 7pm at Restland Funeral Home. Services will be held on Saturday, August 11, 2012 at 3pm in Wildwood Chapel at Restland with Dr. Bill Pemberton officiating. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Texas Baptist Men, 5351 Catron, Dallas, TX, 75227 or to the Foreign Mission Board, P.O. Box 15783, Philadelphia, PA, 19102.
