STALCUP, FRANCES O. WILLIAMS 89, of Highland Village, TX went Home to be with the Lord at 12:16 A.M. on Tuesday, September 18, 2012 at Rambling Oaks Assisted Living, Highland Village, TX. Funeral services were held at First Baptist Church of Carrollton, TX on Friday, September 21, 2012 at 11:00 A.M. Dick Knight of Cross Roads Church, Flower Mound and Rip Cannon of First Baptist Church, Carrollton officiated. Special music was provided by Keith Ferguson and Michelle Chapman. Her Dallas Cowboys party friends of so many years were her honorary pall bearers: Mary Bragg, Cloyce Bragg, Jo Ann Jernigan, Elizabeth Morrison, Jo Anne McGiboney, Dawn Thompson, and Pauline Williams. Fran was laid to rest beside her caring husband, John, in Restland Memorial Park, Dallas, TX. Fran was born on November 15, 1922 in Fleming, TX. She married John R. Stalcup, Jr. on August 8, 1940 in Comanche, TX. Her faithful love of the Lord was shown through her lifetime service in sharing her Christian witness while being a part of the First Baptist Church of Dallas and the First Baptist Church of Lewisville for many years. Fran was preceded in death by her loving husband of 52 years, John Stalcup, her mother, Mary Melvina Black Williams, her father, Charles William Williams, her stepmother, Ecce Aurora Hall Williams, 8 brothers and sisters, her son-in-law, William F. Fowler and her great grandson, Austin Wayne Marquette. Survivors include 2 daughters, Sandra Stalcup Sanders and husband Kenneth, Mullin, TX and Sheryl Stalcup Fowler, Carrollton, TX. Fran also thought of Mae Louann Dobbs as her adopted daughter whom she loved very much; 3 granddaughters, Sherilyn Adale Miller Marquette and husband, Eddie, Venus, TX, Keri Miller Milam, Argyle, TX and Randi Fowler Kudner and husband, Anthony, Falls Church, VA, 5 great grandchildren, Whitney Lea Watts, Wichita Falls, TX , Tiffany Lynn Montana, Euless, TX , Wyatt Wayne Marquette, Venus TX, Riley Don Milam, Argyle, TX and Fionnuala Kudner, Falls Church, VA. Memorial contributions may be made to the First Baptist Church of Mullin, TX, First Baptist Church of Carrollton, TX or St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, Memphis, Tennessee.
