Frances Elizabeth Wood's Obituary
WOOD, FRANCES ELIZABETH HODGES, born October 25, 1912 in Aubrey, TX and passed away April 1, 2007 in Dallas. Preceded in death by husband, Woodrow F. Wood Sr.; daughters, Edith Carolyn Wood Mackaman and Patty Lynn Wood; and brother, Dr. Edward H. Hodges Jr., DDS. Survived by daughter, Barbara Meyer & husband Ken; son, Woodrow F. Wood, Jr.; grandchildren, J. Randall Mackaman, Gerald William Mackaman, Todd N. Telkamp, Daniel G. Telkamp, David G. Wood, and Martha E. Wood; great grandchildren, James, Jonathan, Joshua and Josiah Mackaman and Cady Wood; and son-in-law, Dr. Bert J. Mackaman. Frances attended North Texas State Teachers College where she received her Bachelors and also lettered in Varsity Basketball. She taught Physical Education around Dallas. She was a member of Park Cities Baptist Church. Frances was a pediatric volunteer at Baylor, Children’s and Presbyterian Dallas and was recognized for her many years of service. She was also a National Flower Show Judge in Dallas and an ardent golfer, gardener and neighborhood walker. A memorial service will be held at Park Cities Baptist Church, Ellis Chapel, 3933 Northwest Pkwy., Dallas, TX 75225 at 2:00 PM, Thursday, April 5, 2007. Private interment will be in Restland Memorial Park, Dallas, Texas. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Alzheimers Association.
