Francis Martin Fandrick's Obituary
FANDRICK, FRANCIS MARTIN was born on October 27, 1941 in Chicago, IL to Frank and Geraldine Conroy Fandrick. As a child, Frank lived near Wrigley Field and became a lifelong fan of the Chicago Cubs. He graduated from Lane Technical High School in Chicago and attended DePaul University. After his family moved to Monroe, Wisconsin, he worked as a cheese maker until he entered the Air Force. Following his discharge, he was employed by IBM for 28 years, working as a systems analyst in several fields, including medical records and national language support. He received several patents for his work at IBM. He was preceded in death by his mother, Geraldine; father, Frank; and stepsister, Madge York. He is survived by his wife of 42 years, Janice Fandrick; daughter, Jessica Fandrick; and son, Ricky Fandrick. Additional survivors are his sister, Judy Cox and husband, Tom of Rockford, IL; brother, Richard Fandrick; and stepmother, Caroline Fandrick; both of Monroe, WI. Frank was an active member and elder at First Presbyterian Church of Richardson, where he taught Sunday School, was webmaster, operated the sound system for worship, and was a member of the “Sometimers.” He was known for his impersonations of Johnny Carson as “Karnac” during church talent shows and loved the annual church trips to the river in New Braunfels. He and Janice enjoyed traveling in the U.S. and abroad, especially the church choir trips to Europe. There will be a memorial service at First Presbyterian Church of Richardson, 271 N. Walton, Richardson, TX 75081 on Friday, April 27 at 4:00 p.m. The service will be followed by a reception at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be given to First Presbyterian Church.
