Francis Sampson's Obituary
Francis R. Sampson was known to loved ones as “Frank”, “McGyver”, and “Pa-Pa”. He was born to Ivan and Eva Sampson on September 24,1962, in Palo Seco, Trinidad. In 1973, the family relocated St. Croix, VI. In 1982 Frank left St. Croix to attend North Carolina Central University in Durham, NC. There he met the love of his life, Kimberly Moore. They were married December 22, 1986. From their union came their two children, Radiance and Jamar, and later two grandchildren, Myeisha and Marquis. Frank served in the United States Army from 1988 to 2008. While stationed in Ft. Stewart, GA, Frank attended Agape Christian Fellowship where he accepted his call to the ministry. In 1996 Frank was licensed and ordained by Pastor Daisy P. Edwards, for the work of the ministry, to equip and edify the Body of Christ. After receiving orders, Frank and his family relocated to Germany where they planted and launched Lighthouse Ministries. Frank continued to dedicate most of his life sacrificially serving others and to the work of the ministry. Everyone that met Frank would describe him as a GREAT MAN due to his loving heart, helpful hands, and encouraging words. He always had the ability to make anyone laugh or smile. Some of the most fondest and special moments included quality spent with others. He was a man of great wisdom and always gave sound advice to those who asked. Though his time here on earth has ended, his memories and legacy will live on forever. Frank leaves behind to celebrate his life: father, Ivan; mother, Eva; wife, Kimberly; daughter, Radiance; son, Jamar; two grandchildren; seven brothers: Chris (Ferny); Dennis; Dexter (Kenya); Matthew (Natalie); Peter (Erika); Lester; Curtis; one sister: Kathleen; an aunt and an uncle; a host of nieces and nephews, cousins, in-laws and friends. The Family will receive friends on Thursday, October 1, 2015 from 6:00-8:00PM at Restland Funeral Home in Dallas, Texas. A graveside service will be held Friday, October 2, 2015 at 9:15AM at the DFW National Cemetery.
