Francis "Lorain" Tatom's Obituary
Ms. Lorain Tatom, age 90, passed away on Tuesday, November 8, 2022, in Mesquite, Texas. She was born to Alvis and Estella Wright on Tuesday, April 5, 1932, in Hamilton, Texas.
Lorain was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and great great grandmother. She loved the Lord and going to church. She always said make a joyful noise unto the Lord and then she would say he didn't say it had to be good (she had trouble carrying a tune!) She was a housewife and loved to be with her family. She worked for a while at her church and loved doing that. She liked to go places she had never been, if you could get there by car. Lorain loved life and was loved by many. She will be dearly missed.
She was preceded in death by Alvis and Estella Wright (parents), David F. Tatom (husband), Jerrell and Tommy Wright (brothers), Wanda Gomez (daughter), Dallas Tatom (son), Billie Moore (daughter) and Keith Gomez (grandson).
Lorain leaves behind James Wright (brother), Sharon Stepp (daughter), Tami Birch (granddaughter), David Moore (grandson), Jeff Tatom (grandson), Katherine Day (granddaughter), Rebecca Neal (granddaughter), Sarah Neal (granddaughter), Marissa Petronico (granddaughter), 17 great grandchildren, 6 great great grandchildren and numerous friends.
Services for Ms. Lorain Tatom will be held Friday, November 18, 2022, at 2:00pm in Wildwood Chapel at Restland Funeral Home. A visitation will be held one-hour prior beginning at 1:00pm.
