Francisca Uy Lopez's Obituary
Francisca Lopez was born in the Philippines on March 9, 1925. She entered Heaven’s gates on May 9, 2016. A devout Catholic, she had an unwavering faith in God. She prayed the Rosary everyday and went to church every Sunday. She donated generously to charitable organizations and to all who asked for donations as she volunteered at her church’s Sunday school. A dedicated and passionate educator, she taught in 4 countries for over 55 years and was inducted in the “Who’s Who in American Education”. After retirement, she continued teaching as a substitute teacher at Plano ISD schools until she was unable to, at 80 years old. Francisca is survived by her daughter Elisa Stevens, son-in-law David Stevens, grandchildren Danni and Jason Stevens. Her niece, Jing, lovingly provided assistance with her care for several years. A viewing will be held on Saturday, June 4, 2016 at 9am followed by a funeral service at 10am at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church, 2700 W Spring Creek Pkwy, Plano, TX 75023. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Restland Funeral Home and Memorial Park, 13005 Greenville Avenue, Dallas, TX 75243.
