Frank J. Bontempo's Obituary
Frank J. Bontempo 93, born June 23, 1921. Passed away peacefully on November 24 in his home in Plano. Born and raised in Aliquippa, PA, and graduated from U of Pittsburgh (B.S.) in 1944. Enlisted and served in the U.S. Army in support of Patton’s Third Army in Germany. Honorably discharged in 1945. Graduated from U.T. (Austin) School of Pharmacy and worked as a pharmacist and retail manager in Dallas until his retirement. Married in 1946 to his dear wife, Marjorie, who preceded him in death on December 8, 2002. Frank is survived by his brother, Thomas of Aliquippa, P A; three daughters, Barbara (Jim) Megede of Richardson, Beth (John Anson) Bontempo of Center, and Becki (John) Brophy of Naperville, IL; and five grandchildren, Christopher Megede (wife Shelley), Rachel Buhner, Patrick Brophy, Rebecca Buhner, and Hannah Brophy. He was preceded in death by parents, Joseph Felix and Emilia Veronica Bontempo; brother, John Carl, and sister, Barbara Ann. Friends are welcome to join the visitation on Friday, November 28, 2014 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Restland Funeral Home. A funeral service for Francis will be held on Saturday, November 29, 2014 at 11:00 AM at St. Rita Catholic Church on Inwood Rd, Dallas. Internment aside his dear wife Marjorie will follow at Restland Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to VNA, 5601 Virginia Pkwy, Ste. 1, McKinney, 75070. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Restland Funeral Home and Memorial Park, 13005 Greenville Avenue, at Restland Road, Dallas, TX 75238.
