Frank John Louis Pucci's Obituary
Pucci, Frank John (December 5, 1931-April 11, 2018)In 1965, Frank and his family moved to Dallas, Texas from Winnipeg, Manitoba Canada. He worked at Dallas Optical in Preston Center before retiring from Key/ Whitman Optical.Frank shared the love of sports with Midge, especially baseball. He looked forward to coaching young athletes at the College Baseball Showcase for years.He coached BBI baseball and refereed hockey in Winnipeg as well as Dallas. Frank was an Honorary Life Member of the Knights of Columbus, which he joined in 1962 and made his Fourth Degree in 1972. He was also a longtime member of the Dallas Elks Lodge.Frank never missed an opportunity to attend his children’s and grandchildren’s volleyball, softball, football, soccer, basketball and baseball games as well as dance recitals. His grandchildren called him Grandpa, Frankie and Papa.We will always remember our annual trips back to Canada to visit family and friends, baseball bus trips, Gruene Hall and especially the memorable family vacations to South Padre Island with Mom.Frank is preceded in death by his loving wife of 62 years, Midge Pucci; parents Salvatore & Beatrice Pucci; sisters Rosemary Van Ginkel & Raffelina Colton.He will be greatly missed by his son Rick (Cheryl), daughter Jacqui (Terry) and son Dino (Jane). His grandchildren: Andrei Pucci, Julia Pucci, Alexandria Strickland, Gabrielle Pucci, Dino Pucci Jr, Will Pucci and Zoie Pucci.We will miss you dad, you were one of a kind!The family would like to thank our very special friends: Maria Juanita Sparks and the staff of Visiting Angels.Memorials can be made to the Knights of Columbus Scholarship Fund in honor of Frank Pucci.
