Frank Karl Muntster Jr.'s Obituary
Frank Karl Munster, Jr. born January 22, 1920 in Dallas, Texas passed away March 21, 2011. Frank was preceded in death by his father Frank Karl Munster, Sr., mother Verna, and brother James Herman. He graduated from Sunset High School in Dallas and later served in the Coast Guard from April 24, 1941 until April 26, 1946. He married Mira Santa Travan on May 5, 1946 in New York City. Frank retired from the Dallas Water Department after 30 years of service. Upon retirement, he served as a volunteer for the V.A. and V.F.W. Posts in Dallas and surrounding areas. Frank is survived by his wife Mira, brother Buddy, son Keith and daughter-in-law Kim, daughter Phyllis DeJarnatt and son-in-law James, 4 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren, numerous cousins, neices, nephews, and many friends. A memorial service will be held at Holy Trinity Episcopal Church, 3217 Guthrie Rd., Garland, TX, at 10:00AM Thursday, March 24, 2011. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation of Dallas or the Disabled American Veterans.
